Short films to be screened in Daingean this week

The best of recent Irish short films, including 'Runner’ by local filmmaker Paddy Slattery, will be screened in Daingean this Thursday.

Bi-lingual screenings will take place in Seery’s on Thursday, July 31 from 7pm and admission is free.

Following the collection of short films, Donnacha O’Briain’s latest documentary 'Peripheral Vision’ - chronicling the experiences of those attempting to mobilise the public against bank bailouts and austerity over twelve months - will be screened at 9pm.

Screenings on the evening will include Shane Hogan’s 'There’s no charge for that hat’, Eoin Duffy’s black comedy 'The Missing Scarf’, 'Beirt le Chéile’ by Stephen Daly and 'Rúbaí’ by Louise Ni Fhiannachta.

Paddy Slattery will be in attendance on the night to introduce his film 'Runner’, the final short of the night.
