Offaly culture night details revealed

Offaly Culture Night highlights will include puppet theatre, comedy and music, it has been revealed.

The diverse mix of free events that is part of a nationwide initiative on September 19 will cover the county, as well as offering something of interest for all ages.

Highlights for Offaly on the night will include a performance by the Moon and Sixpence Puppet Theatre of 'Red Riding Hood’ in Birr Theatre, comedy in The Wolftrap in Tullamore including performances by 'The Savage Eye’ co-writer John Colleary and Capital Comedy Club MC Simon O’Keeffe, music from the award winning Tullamore Academy of Music Chamber Choir in Tullamore’s Church of the Assumption and a performance by renowned jazz guitarist Nigel Clark in Cloghan’s Clonony Castle.
