Verdict on Kilbeggan nursing home plans delayed

Comments (0) | Print | Email

There has been a hold up this week with an expected decision on plans for a 60-bed nursing home in Kilbeggan, after the local authority requested further information on several aspects of the ambitious proposals.

Sarin Properties Ltd wants permission to build a 60-bed single storey nursing home on the Tullamore Road in the town, complete with residents room, oratory, social areas, kitchens, dining and day facilities, along with staff and administration facilities.

A verdict had been due last week however, the council instead sought further information from developers on a number of issues within the proposals.

A decision will now be made six weeks after the information has been submitted to Westmeath County Council for consideration.
