Local trio Elles Divas to appear at the Irish Entertainment Awards

Excitement filled the air when Midland Drama Schools director Lorraine Wynne received a phone call from the Irish Entertainment Awards to inform her that her girl band 'Elles Divas' are up for an award for the Best Upcoming Pop Teen Girlband 2010!

The awards are being held in the Helix Theatre on October 11.

Brian Ormond will be presenting the show and it will play host to many great celebrities including Mike Denver, Michael English, Tony Kenny,and Paul Harrington.

Elles Divas comprise three of the school's drama and singing students Jane O'Boyle from Kilcormac and Leah Buckley and Avril Spain from Pullough.

The girls appeared on The Late Late Toy Show last year.

"To be given this opportunity is an absolute privilege and the girls intend on representing the Midlands in style on the night," Lorraine sends. Tickets are on sale now in the Helix Theatre Dublin and through Ticket Master.
