A Birr student is in with the chance of becoming the face of an Irish mineral make-up brand.

Yvonne O'Toole has been shortlisted for the Face of Fuschia 2009 final, along with seven other women from around the country.

Yvonne is a first year student of Early Childhood Care & Education in Mary Immaculate College in Limerick. She first heard about Fuschia's product range from Primrose Beauty Salon in Limerick and it was on the Fuschia website that she found out about the Face of Fuschia competition.

Yvonne would be well-known locally as she has enjoyed singing from a very young age and now sings part-time in Bunratty Castle.

Now in its second year, the Face of Fuschia competition will select a winner that reflects Fuschia's ethos of celebrating natural beauty. The winner will receive hair and make-up styling by leading industry experts and get the opportunity to take part in a professional photo shoot. As well as having their photos on display in-store and in selected stockists nationwide, the winner will get €500 worth of Fuschia products, a weekend break at Hilton Dublin, a necklace from Swarovski and clothes from Manoukian.

Fuschia is Ireland's only indigenous make-up brand and has been specially designed to give coverage and a healthy glow to the complexion, while also nourishing and caring for skin,

The winner will be announced in Dublin on Tuesday, October 13.
