Offaly Comhairle group proud recipients of Citizenship Award

Offaly Comhairle na nÓg Group are still on a high this week as their club was honoured at the prestigious permanent tsb Foróige Youth Citizenship Awards, which were held in the Helix in Dublin on Thursday, October 29.

The young active citizens from Offaly were among 18 groups from 154 entries who were chosen to receive these awards for their hard work and commitment to community involvement. This out-of-school programme is aimed at educating young people about the value of their community and how they can contribute by becoming active citizens.

Offaly Comhairle na nÓg Group dedicated their efforts to creating a health promotion project.

The aim of the project was to promote positive mental health and wellbeing among young people.

Their project included a poster advertising campaign and an online aspect which contained relevant information for young people in the community dealing specifically with positive mental health.
