Linda Kelly, who appeared on the Big Money TV Game Show last weekend for her mother Evelyn Guinan, from Lumcloon, Cloghan, won almost €35,000.

Evelyn and her husband Joe will be married for the past 48 years this December.

Linda played the game on behalf of Evelyn and they also have a son Noel, two granddaughters, one grandson and another one on the way.

Evelyn loves to play bingo and buying scratch cards too! She also likes reading both her local and the national newspapers.

Evelyn is often very lucky at bingo and has regularly won small sums on scratchcards.

She has never won a large amount but always enough to keep her going.

She always misses the Big Money Game as she goes to bingo every Saturday night.

Linda is married to Adrian and they have two daughters, Rachel (11) and Sarah (6).

She works in Riverview resources in Birr - which is a centre for people with intellectual disabilities.

Evelyn wasn't the only lucky Offaly person on the gameshow on Saturday though, as John McFadden from Ballincur, Kinnity, Birr, was one of the Big Money Game New York city holiday winners.
