Offaly is tenth dearest for weddings according to new survey

A survey carried out by an Irish wedding website has revealed that Offaly is the tenth dearest county in Ireland to get hitched in. According to the survey the average price of a wedding in Offaly is €21,355, just above the national average price of €21,135.

The survey showed Wicklow as the dearest county for a wedding, with an average wedding there costing €22,280, while Louth came in cheapest with an average price of just €19,820.

The same survey showed September as the most popular month for weddings. Fifteen percent of all weddings looked at in the survey took place in September. January was the least popular month for nuptials, with just two percent of those surveyed choosing that month for their wedding. January was shown as the cheapest month to wed however, costing on average €19,780. Weddings in June cost approximately €2,500 more.
