AIB to remain as sponsor at Tullamore Show

The organisers of Tullamore Show and AIB National Livestock Show have reached a deal that will see AIB remain as show sponsor for the next three years. The banking group announced the renewal of its title sponsorship agreement last Thursday. Tullamore Show is celebrating its 21st year this year and is scheduled for Butterfield Estate on the outskirts of Tullamore on Sunday, August 12. Last year over 60,000 attended the major national event and it's hoped the 2012 show will draw in as big a crowd again. AIB first became involved with the premier agriculture show in 2003. Speaking last Thursday Tullamore Show chairman George Gill said organisers were delighted to continue the relationship. Similarly, Head of Business Banking at AIB John Webb said all at AIB are delighted to commit support to the show for a further three-year period and develop it over that time. Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney described Tullamore Show as a "thriving example of the spirit of Irish agriculture and success of agri-business in challenging economic times". He continued by saying that he greatly admired the work that goes into organising Tullamore Show and praised the committee, volunteers and local community for making it happen every year. Information about Tullamore Show is available at www.tullamoreshow.com. A full schedule of classes will be available after June 14, and the closing date for competition entries is July 20. The closing date for trade stand applications is July 6.
