Up to 16 jobs announced for Offaly

Fifty new jobs have been announced by Nua Healthcare Services. The healthcare company currently has a facility in Edenderry, with a second Offaly development a possibility in the coming months. In a statement released today (Monday) the company said the new jobs are to be across Dublin, Kildare, Laois and Offaly. Speaking to the Offaly Independent Nua Healthcare chief executive Ed Dunne said Offaly will probably get between twelve and 16 of the new jobs. Recruitment for the positions is to commence immediately. The new positions being created by Nua Healthcare are across all nursing spectrums, in addition to social care workers specific to residential children's services. All positions are permanent and flexible working hours can be offered to the right candidates. Nua Healthcare provides specialised residential, respite and day services to individuals with Aspergers Syndrome/Autistic Spectrum Disorder, borderline personality disorder, brain injury and mental health issues. Speaking of the announcement Mr Dunne said he's happy to be creating employment. "In the current climate it's great to be in a position to provide job opportunities in nursing to our fantastic pool of people here in Ireland," he said. "We hope that these flexible job opportunities will prevent at least 50 people feeling they have no other choice other than to leave Ireland to secure employment."
