Moneygall to host Obama family once more?

Hopes are high Moneygall might once more play host to the Obama family. Reports today suggest that the First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama and her two daughters will visit Ireland when American President Barack Obama visits Northern Ireland for the G8 Summit.

Michelle Obama has previously voiced a wish to bring her daughters - 14 year old Malia and eleven year old Sasha - to Moneygall so they can experience the birthplace of their paternal ancestor.

President Obama and his wife visited the village in May 2011, without their children. It's thought the two girls might get to visit without their father however when he's attending the G8 Summit in Fermanagh on June 17 and 18.
