Man arrested in connection with Edenderry murder investigation

Gardai investigating the murder of 64-year-old Thomas "Toddy" Dooley at a house in Edenderry on February 16 last have arrested a man.

The 19-year-old man was arrested this morning (Wednesday) in Edenderry and is detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Tullamore Garda Station. He can be detained for up to 24 hours.

The body of Mr Dooley was discovered when gardai were called to his house at Sister Senan Court in Edenderry. He had sustained injuries to his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.
