Eddie Rocket's to bring 35 new jobs to Tullamore

The popular American diner restaurant Eddie Rocket’s is on its way to Tullamore bringing with it up to 35 new jobs.


Recruitment is already underway for the new posts at the 1950s inspired fast food outlet which is set to be located in O’Connor Square in heart of the town, in the former Irish Nationwide building.


Open Interview Mornings take place today (Friday) and Saturday, March 29 from 11am to 1pm in Castle buildings, Tara Street, Tullamore for a variety of positions in the new outlet, including supervisors, short order grill chefs, kitchen porters and waiting staff.


Known for their fresh hand-pressed hamburgers, hand-dipped shakes, malts and classic hotdogs, this is the first Eddie Rocket’s restaurant in the Midlands,
A spokesperson for the new Eddie Rocket’s outlet in Tullamore said they are very excited to bring such a well known Irish brand to Offaly and the Midlands region as a whole.


“Anyone who wants a job please come along this Friday and Saturday to Castle Buildings in Tara Street. Everyone who turns up will get an interview,” the local spokesperson stressed.


“We’re hoping to open in O’Connor Square for the May Bank Holiday Weekend,” he added. The newly appointed manager of the new Eddie Rocket’s outlet in Tullamore is local resident Declan McGuinness.


Eddie Rocket’s is an Irish owned company which employs over 1,000 people across the group. They pride themselves on their use of Irish food products in all of the outlets.


The company currently has over 41 restaurants operated on a franchise basis all over Ireland along with one in Swansea in the UK, and another in Spain.
The first Eddie Rocket’s city diner restaurant opened in South Anne Street in Dublin back in 1989.
