Info sought on fatal crash

Gardai investigating a fatal crash in the early hours of yesterday morning (Monday) on Roscrea’s Birr Road are appealing for witnesses.

Anyone with information in relation to a black BMW car gardai say was taken from a compound at Brosna, Birr between 1am and 1.40am on Monday morning and later involved in the fatal collision in Roscrea is asked to contact Roscrea garda station on 0505 24230, the garda confidential line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.

The fatal collision that claimed the life of the car's 18-year-old driver saw the black BMW collide with a wall. A 16-year-old male passenger in the car was seriously injured and taken to Limerick Regional Hospital.
