Two arrested after overnight break-in at Edenderry drapery

Two men aged 17 and 20 are being questioned by gardai in Tullamore following a break-in at Dermot Hall Menswear in Edenderry in the early hours of this morning (Friday).

At approximately 5am an alarm alerted gardai to a break-in at the business premises.

Tullamore's Sgt Ollie Baker said gardai were "met with resistance" but managed to apprehend the two men.

They are being detained at Tullamore garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and can be held for up to twelve hours.
