Man injured in birr crash

A man was seriously injured in a single vehicle car crash in Birr in the early hours of this morning.

The man, who is in his 50s and from the locality, was injured when his car struck an ESB pole at Ross Rowe, Birr at 1.30am.

A Garda spokesman said “the man was seriously injured and he was removed by ambulance to Tullamore.”

Gardai are appealing to anyone with information to contact Birr Garda Station on 057 9169710.
