Road closure planned for geashill

Diversions will be put in place when a section of road is closed in Geashill this Sunday.

Cllr Eddie Fitzpatick said Offaly County Council is closing the public link road at The Green, Geashill, from its junction with Regional Road R420 to its junction at Ard Road (L1020-3) from 9am to 7pm this Sunday, August 2.

The road closure is necessary to protect pedestrians during the annual Muc Fair at the Green in Geashill, explained Cllr Fitzpatrick.

Traffic will be diverted via the R420 and local access will be provided.  Cllr Fitzpatrick wished organisers every success with this year’s Muc Fair.
