Tullamore firm wins national award

Tullamore firm Simpli Baked was amongst the winners at the Small Firms Association (SFA) National Small Business Awards, which took place in Dublin on Wednesday.

Simpli Baked won the Bord Bia sponsored Food and Drink Award, seeing off the challenge of firms from Longford, Mayo, Galway and Wexford.

Situated in Cloncollig Industrial Estate, Simpli Baked is the only factory in Ireland producing tortillas. The firm also produces thin crust pizza bases,cookies and brownies. Formed in 2009, the firm exports to UK, Europe and the Middle East.Speaking at the event, SFA Chair, Sue O’Neill paid tribute to Simpli Baked and the other award winners.
