Midland Drama School in Bloom

Special guest performers from Midland Drama Schools took part in Solus Shines, a spotlight on young talent at Bloom.

They were part of Enable Ireland’s ‘Beyond Boundaries’ Garden in association with Solus Light Bulbs.

They were invited to fill the gardens each day with music, dance and performing arts. Gifted performers from Midland Drama School accentuated the splendour and glory of the gardens and delight for all to see and proved a huge hit.

"Congratulations to our students Holly Bhattacharya, Abigail Murphy, Isabelle Lyons, Rebecca Martin and Megan Murrin who represented us in Solus gardens in style and I'm very proud of them and I wish to express my thanks to Solus for inviting Midland Drama Schools to perform in their festival gardens. It was an honour and privilege to be asked," said Midland Drama School artistic director Lorraine Wynne.

"Many celebrities popped into the gardens. We had the honour to meet the president of Ireland Michael D Higgins and Micháel Martin to name but few. Solus was awarded the best show garden in their category."
