Glenisk plans to extend premises in Killeigh

Glenisk, a leading Irish producer of organic dairy and goats milk products, is planning to expand at Newtown, Killeigh.

The company, which was formed in 1987 and is run by the Cleary family, is intending to apply for planning permission to extend its premises.

According to the planning notice, there is an interest in extending the ground floor to the north elevation of the existing main building, extending the ground floor to the south east elevation of the existing main building and a new site entrance and access road to the back of the site.

The development will also include the removal of existing storage tanks and chiller unit, demolish the existing temporary chill storage rooms, storage sheds, toilet area, partial demolition of a boundary wall, partial trimming of hedgerows and removal of existing trees affected by the proposed site entrance.

An application will be lodged with Offaly County Council which will make a decision on the plan at a later stage.
