SOSAD Tullamore service to close

The counselling service offered by SOSAD Tullamore is to close.

The decision was formally announced last week by SOSAD Ireland, whose headquarters is based in Drogheda. The closure will take effect from May 9.

SOSAD Ireland said the decision was reluctantly taken because it was no longer viable to financially sustain the service in Tullamore.

The Tullamore service was provided by professional counsellors on a voluntary basis free of charge to the clients.
They were supported in their work by volunteer administrative staff.

Margaret Dunne, as co-coordinator of SOSAD Tullamore takes this opportunity to thank everyone who supported the service in a variety of ways, including fundraising since its opening in April 2013

Clients in SOSAD Tullamore have been given details of alternative services.
