Star line-up for midland Haiti fundraiser

Keith McDonald, TR Dallas, Ray Lynam and bluegrass group Carmel Sheerin and the Ravens are just a sample of the local entertainers in a star-studded line-up set to take to the stage in Tullamore next week to raise money for charity Goal, who are working to alleviate the suffering of victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti.

The Haiti Concert Fundraiser, the brainchild of Athlone native and well known Midlands 103 presenter Joe Cooney, takes place in the Bridge House Hotel on Tuesday, January 26 next, and features a huge range of popular names on the country and Irish scene including Dave Lawlor, Rosie Flanagan Shawn Cuddy, Pat Whelan from Just Two, Louise Morrisey, Shaun Loughrey, The Benn Sisters, Damien Bowe, John Hogan, Mike Denver and Joe Rabbitte.

The compere is Joe Cooney from Midlands 103, who this week thanked Desi Egan from Egan Entertainment for all his help organising the event.

Tickets, priced just €15 are now available in Heartbeat City, Tullamore and Music World, Golden Island, Athlone, or from hotel reception. Doors open on the night at 7.30pm with the show kicking off at 8pm. For further information contact 086 3346726.
