Leading Irish menswear label Kartel, delivers truly original design with a 'French Retreat' retrospective this autumn winter 09/10.

Inspired by the distinctively chic French sense of immaculate style, Kartel pushes the boundaries of colour with a relaxed elegance signed with the Kartel tailor bird motif.

Kartel Jeanswear injects an eight colour palette including chocolate browns and deep blue's into the casual range. Key pieces include real selvedge denim jeans, merino wool blends and high yarn count pima cotton knits from Provence. Super soft European woven fabrics are used in shirts whilst buttery soft leather jackets add a rugged urbanity, while the chino trouser rocks a khaki comeback.

Kartel Formal combines streamlined design with artisan craftsmanship, key fabrics include wool blends and a poly wool Lycra to provide tactile warm winter suiting. An immaculate palette of navy pin stripes and shades of subtle noir ensure formalwear retains a seasonal flair in a choice of three classic, stylish or Italian fitted cuts.

Kartel Women plays on modern sophistication with plunging V-neck sweaters acting as the centre piece for this season's retreat theme. Slim fit cuts are the rule and knits play on preppy silhouettes, in shades of deep purple, rustic red and true blue.

Karl Swan, Managing Director of Kartel said: "Kartel will be at the forefront of fashion this season with an innovative colour pallet. From relaxed to refined; the new collection goes full circle introducing smart attention to detail with a tip of the hat to French design."

Kartel is available Galvin's of Tullamore and Donagh McArdle Golf in Tullamore, in Dermot Hall, Edenderry and in Smith Menswear and Michael Horan Golf Shop in Birr.
