Birr Film Club presents

Birr Film Club presents "The Hunter" at Birr Theatre and Arts Centre tonight (Tuesday, February 12).

The 2011 Australian film stars Willem Dafoe, Sam Neill, Frances O'Connor, Morgana Davies and Finn Woodlock.

In "The Hunter" Martin (Dafoe) is sent by a mysterious biotechnology company to the Tasmanian Wilderness to find the very last Tasmanian tiger. The lonely expedition in the inhospitable landscape forces him to look closely at the reality of his work, with dramatic consequences. Martin hears from the local guide that the previous hunter has been missing for months.

He also finds that his traps are sabotaged and he's being tracked.

"The Hunter" will be screened at 8pm, with tickets available for €7, €5 and €3. More information is available from 057 9122911 or www.birrtheatre.com.
