UNDER-12 SEMI-FINAL

Edenderry's under-12 footballers will play Ferbane/Belmont this Saturday morning 12th September in Cappincur at 11.30am. Edenderry have had mixed results so far in the Championship, but on the evidence of some of their games they played, they definitely have the ability to really give Ferbane/Belmont a good game.

JUNIOR HURLING QUARTER-FINAL

Edenderry's hurlers will play Killeigh this Saturday 12th September in the Junior Hurling quarter-final in Gracefield at 5pm.

FR McWEY PARISH LEAGUE FINALS

This Sunday 13th September, the finals of the Irish Stationary Supplies sponsored Fr McWey Parish Leagues take place in the GAA field. All players and managers are asked to be in the GAA field for 1.30pm to get teams ready, and it is hoped to have throw-in for the 'C' Finals in both Senior and Junior at 2pm. The 'B' and 'A' finals will then follow, before the presentations, which take place in the hall at approximately 4pm. The final pairings are as follows: Junior 'A' Final- Padraig Pearse v Colonel Perry; Junior 'B' Final- Fr Kearns v Daniel O'Connell; Junior 'C' Final - Thomas Davis v Wolfe Tones; Senior 'A' Final - Fr Kearns v Thomas Davis; Senior 'B' Final - Colonel Perry v Padraig Pearse; Senior 'C' Final - Daniel O'Connell v Wolfe Tones.

Thanks to Eddie Kelliher who co-ordinated all the scores and results each week, and compiled the final tables.

LADIES COUNTY FINAL

Hard luck to the Edenderry Ladies footballers who were defeated by Rhode in the County Final last Sunday in O'Connor Park.

SPONSORS

Congratulations to Edenderry Power Limited who won a pair of All-Ireland hurling tickets in an exclusive draw restricted to pitch side-side sponsors. Kieran Groome accepted the tickets on behalf of Edenderry Power from Colm Cummins of Edenderry GAA.

UNDERAGE HURLING KILKENNY TRIP

Last Friday evening a group of underage hurlers from Edenderry travelled to Kilkenny to watch the All-Ireland Hurling Champions train before last Sunday's final against Tipperary. After a light training session Kilkenny manager Brian Cody and his team - including stars such as Henry Shefflin, Tommy Walsh, Martin Comerford, PJ Ryan, Eddie Brennan, Eoin Larkin and James 'Cha' Fitzpatrick to name but a few - made themselves available to sign autographs and have photographs taken with the Edenderry youngsters. The trip was organised by Martin Keogh, Declan Cummins and Jimmy O'Grady, great work lads.
