Presenting the cheque to the Daingean lotto winner, L to R: Paul Keating (Daingean GAA PRO), Eugene Hewson (Chairman) Joe Molloy (Winner) Matthew Farrell (Promoter/Proprietor Gaelic Bar) Maurice Henry (Secretary).

Any talk of a recession was not on the agenda last Tuesday night for one lucky Daingean native as Joe Molloy scooped the Daingean GAA lotto prize of €15,800.

The lotto hadn't been won since June 2008 and Joe was absolutely delighted with his good fortune. Paul Keating, Daingean GAA PRO, thanked all the sellers and promoters for their hard work and effort over the last year. He also thanked David and Matthew Farrell, proprietors of the Gaelic Bar, who sold the winning ticket and who are continuously supporting the local club.

All money collected is put directly back into the club. The Junior A and Junior B teams are both training hard as they have reached the semi-final stages in the Championship and the games are to be played over the next couple of weeks. All support at the matches is greatly appreciated by management and team members alike.
