Luke Comer on the mark at Dundalk last night.

Dunboyne handler Luke Comer appears to have a useful performer on his hands in the form of Bashkirov.

Comer, who will see the Meath football team run out in their new jerseys next week bearing the Comer International Group logo, was in the winners' enclosure at Dundalk last night.

Bashkirov won twice in two days at Dundalk last November and completed the hat-trick for Timmy Carroll.

Comer confirmed that Bashkirov will be aiming higher later this year when the going improves, but that he could be back at Dundalk in the meantime.
