Meath's quest for an All-Ireland VEC Inter-County SFC title continues after today's semi-final defeat by Cork at Templemore.

Meath started well and were ahead by 1-6 to 0-7 at half-time, but Munster champions Cork upped the tempo in the second-half.

Despite missing a penalty, which Conor McHugh saved, Cork forged ahead in the closing stages.

This was very disappointing result for Meath, but manager Kit Henry accepted that Cork were worthy winners of what turned out to be a fine game og football.
