Parkvilla 1, Pegasus 1

Parkvilla were held to a draw in their Leinster Senior League Div 1 clash against Pegasus at Claremont Stadium on Friday night.

Despite looking comfortable for the majority of the game, Parkvilla's finishing let them down which ultimately proved costly.

Daryl Collins made the opening for player/manager Alan Murphy who beat the 'keeper with a left-footed strike for the crucial lead goal.

Soon after the lead was nearly doubled with John Power playing a reverse pass that sliced through the Pegasus defence and found Davy Hosie, whose shot was saved.

Parkvilla continued to make chances after the break and Collins went close before Pegasus equalised near the end.

Parkvilla - S Colgan; K Ratty, J McDonnell, C Kennedy, A Williamson, A Kerr, D Hosie, A Murphy, K Dunphy, D Collins, J Power. Subs - J McDonagh for Kerr, D O'Neill for Collins, C Lynch for Murphy.

DIVISION 2

Kells Celtic 2, Boyne Harps 4

Kells Celtic had plenty of reasons to complain after Friday night's Meath & District League Div 2 reversal against Boyne Harps.

Two of the Boyne goals looked offside and another clearly did not cross the line, but the Drogheda side went home with the points.

Aidan Byrne opened the scoring for Kells and Eoin McNamara added a second with a lob from his own half, but it all went awry after the break.

Kells Celtic - C McManus; M Butler, D Flood, E McNamara, R McManus, A Byrne, J Rennicks, S Curran, P O'Driscoll, A Tormay, P Tormay. Subs - P Smith for Tormay, S Flood for O' Driscoll.

Electro Celtic 4, BMC Utd 0

Electro were always in control as they leap-frogged BMC with a comfortable victory under the lights at Kingscourt on Saturday evening.

After creating numerous chances Brian Kelly capitalised on a good cross from Philip Matthews to put Electro ahead at the break.

Electro started the second-half positively with Kelly adding a second goal after a neat one-two with Mathews.

Dary Hutchinson's shot was parried out to Keith Gilsenan who headed the third and in the last 10 minutes Hutchinson rounded the goalkeeper to add the fourth and seal the easy win.

Electro - A Heffernan; D Hutchinson, M Jones, B Heffernan, J Hughes, M Gilsenan, P Tuite, S Lynch, B Kelly, P Matthews, K Gilsenan. Sub - G Campbell for Matthews.
