Parkvilla advanced to the third round of the Gilligan Cup with a narrow victory at Claremont Stadium last night.

Jason McDonagh was credited with the goal after 28 minutes following a scramble in the goalmouth from a corner.

Gate goalkeeper Martin Curran made some excellent saves throughout the game which kept his side in contention.
