The girls from Eureka, Kells lost out to Alexandra College, Dublin in the FAI Leinster Senior Schools final at Navan yesterday.

Eureka were 0-3 adrift at half-time and it got worse when they conceded another goal in the second-half.

Jackie Kavanagh pulled one back for the Meath girls near the end.

Eureka manager Leonard Noone was disappointed with the result and will be hoping his home-town team, Sligo Rovers, can make a winning start to their season tonight when they face Cliftonville in the Setanta Cup.
