Kells Celtic advanced to the next round of the Kilmessan Shield with a victory over local rivals Kells/Blackwater at the Grange.
It didn't look too promising for Kells Celtic early on as Kells / Blackwater took the lead through an own goal. And it got worse for Celtic soon after when goalkeeper Anthony Burke was sent off.
The 10 men left on the field dug deep and equalised with a Shane McGeough penalty. Gary Arkins added two further goals in quick succession and Steve McManus tagged on a fourth. This was a great team display by the winners while Darren O'Rourke and Darragh Gogarty excelled for Kells/Blackwater.

Mosney 1, Castle Villa 3
Martin Carolan, Mark Carolan and Francis Byrne put in big performances as Castle Villa edged out Mosney in this Reilly Cup encounter.
Mosney took the lead before Shane Carolan equalised with a powerful header and Martin Carolan added a second before the break. Ronan Cassidy netted from a retaken second-half penalty to make sure of the win.

Knightsbrook 5, Donore 1
Anthony Craig set Knightsbrook on the way to victory in this Reilly Cup quarter-final encounter with a volleyed goal. Clayton Keegan finished well after a solo run, Craig O'Hanlon added a third to leave it 3-0 at the interval.
Donore pulled a goal back, but two goals from Eddie Murray made sure of the victory. Trevor Dempsey, Stephen Murphy and Murray were best for the winners who continue to notch up the victories.
