If you're a midlands lady looking for a night out then the Old Fort restaurant in Shannonbridge is where you should be headed for tonight (Friday).

The restaurant is the venue for what's being billed as the "Ultimate Girls Night Out" by organisers Linda Moran and Paula Claffey.

In aid of Breast Cancer Ireland, the only rule of the night is that those attending must wear something pink.

Tickets to the event, which also marks the launch of tapas nights at the restaurant, cost €12 and are available on the door from 8.30pm this evening.

That price gets patrons tapas, a glass of wine and entertainment in the form of "Lynam Up".
