This weekend saw a number of events take place that seemed to send Twitter a light. So in case you were too busy to check them out we decided to ease you into this Monday and inform you of what you might have missed this weekend.

1. #imaceleb, Annabel, Amy

Last night, Annabel Giles became the first celebrity to be booted out of the Jungle. She was up against The Fresh Prince of Bell Air's Alfonso Ribeiro who was saved by the public, much to his disappointment. Westlife star Kian Egan remains the bookies favourite to win after completing a number of Bushtucker Trial's. 

2. Luke, #xfactor 

The X-Factor took place this weekend with even more pressure than before with each act having to perfom twice with a place in next week's semi finals up for grabs. Unfortunately, the dream of making it to the final and winning the coveted record deal ended for Tamera Foster who was in the sing off against Luke Friend. Gary Barlow sent it to deadlock meaning that it was the public who got the final say in sending Tamera home. Next week will see the weird combination of a Beyoncé and Elton John week. Interesting...

3. Paul Walker

The star of The Fast and the Furious franchise, Paul Walker, sadly passed away over the weekend. He was killed when the Porshe GT he was a passenger in lost control and struck a tree in Southern California on Saturday afternoon. The father of one was only 40 years of age. 

4. #TheLateLateToyShow

Although it is not trending currently, it is hard to ignore Ireland's most watched programme on Friday night. Really, we just wanted an excuse to watch some of it's most magical moments again to put a smile on our faces on this Monday morning, From the magical opening, to the appearance of Bosco, to Domhnall, Fergal and Mary. We really can't decide which part we loved more.
