Clara Winter Wonderland competition launched

While many people are still enjoying the final days of summer, Clara GAA Club has cast an eye on the upcoming winter holiday season with their current fundraising venture.

Clara GAA Fundraising Committee has organised a Winter Wonderland fundraising competition offering a three-night stay in the increasingly popular Center Parcs resort in Co Longford.

The prize valued at almost €1,000 will allow two adults and up to four children to stay in one of the woodland lodges and access to their very popular Winter Wonderland experience from the 13th to the 15th November.

With international travel remaining a dim and distant memory and one that is likely to continue for some months to come; the chance of escaping for a short break would be welcomed by many.

Like many sports clubs around the country, Clara GAA's ability to fundraise has been severely hindered over the past 18 months especially with the demise of their very popular in-house bingo. The fundraising committee hopes that this latest venture will raise some much-needed funds for the day-to-day running of the club and will kick start some new developments planned over the coming months.

It is hoped that the prize will appeal to those who make up the foundations of every club - young families (and the not so young) who can avail of the huge array of facilities on-site in Center Parcs.

Tickets for the competition are available from any Committee member or can be purchased each Friday at Clara Post Office between 9am-1pm.

Alternatively, tickets can be purchased via the Competitions Page on the club's recently launched website www.claragaa.com - Priced at €20 they represent a great return on investment for the lucky winner!
