Welcome return of events at Tuar Ard

Things are looking up for Tuar Ard Arts Centre. After winning Project of the Year at the Cathaoirleach's Awards in Belvedere House recently, the board and staff are now eagerly preparing to open the theatre doors for the first time since March 2020 for three very special Christmas events.

On Saturday December 18, Santa and his friends are coming to town for a magical sing-along! This fun-filled musical adventure by the Talisman Theatre Company promises festive fun for all the family. Dress up, bring your best singing voice and be ready to sing-along to all your favourite Christmas songs.

Following this, legendary comedian Pat Shortt and his daughter Faye will bring their new show “Well” to Tuar Ard on Saturday December 18 to provide some much-needed laughs. The show follows the unfortunate demise of a Dad and daughter Country and Irish music duo as they attempt to ascend the heights of their local music scene by playing a gig in the town’s hotel.

As the big day approaches, country music sensation Cliona Hagan will perform a very special Christmas Concert on Tuesday December 21 where she will be accompanied by some talented musical elves from the Sheerin Family Band. Tickets are selling fast for this one!

While the theatre will be operating at full capacity, Tuar Ard is very conscious that Covid 19 is still very much with us and to that end every effort has been made to ensure a safe experience for audiences. All ticket holders over 18 will be required to show proof of full vaccination or recovery from Covid-19 in the past six months along with a valid ID and the wearing of face coverings will be mandatory in all areas.

Tickets for all three events can be purchased from the Tuar Ard (www.tuarard.ie) or by calling the box office on 090 6482042 which is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
