Date, time and TV details confirmed for final of Tailteann Cup
The final of the inaugural Tailteann Cup, which will feature either Westmeath or Offaly, will be played as a curtain-raiser to the first of this year's All Ireland football semi-finals on the afternoon of Saturday, July 9.
The Lake County or the Faithful County will play Cavan or Sligo in a game that will get underway at 3pm and is to be shown live on RTÉ.
The decider will precede a novel All Ireland semi-final in which either Clare or Derry will face Galway or Armagh (5.30pm).
The fixtures were finalised by the GAA this afternoon.
The semi-finals of the Tailteann Cup competition are being played as a double-header in Croke Park this coming Sunday, June 19.
The Cavan-Sligo game will get underway at 1.45pm, before the ball is thrown in for the battle of the Midland rivals at 4pm. Both semi-finals are being shown live on RTÉ 2.
