Balloons take to the skies over Birr
Amid glorious hazy sunshine, several balloons took to the sky this morning in the Birr area as part of the 50th Irish Hot Air Ballooning Championships.
The balloons, which launch from Birr Castle, have been grounded for the last few days due to poor weather.
It's hoped there may be a further launch this evening if the good weather holds up.
The 50th Irish Hot Air Ballooning Championships kicked off last weekend and is due to finish this Friday, September 30.
