Milestones celebrated at Mountlucas Parkrun
There was a double achievement at Mountlucas parkrun this weekend as two regular participants celebrated remarkable milestones, showcasing the dedication and community spirit that make parkrun so special.
Young Cormac reached his 10th parkrun, an impressive achievement for one of Mountlucas’s youngest runners, in an impressive time of 25 minutes 33 seconds. Cormac has become a familiar face on Saturday mornings at Mountlucas parkrun since April, attending with his Dad Gareth and inspiring others with his energy and determination. Congratulations to Cormac on reaching this fantastic milestone — here’s to many more runs ahead!
Also celebrating was Margaret Bennett, who completed her 150th parkrun — just one week after finishing the Dublin Marathon! Margaret’s commitment to running is truly inspiring. Whether she’s tackling a marathon or enjoying the friendly 5k at Mountlucas, she always brings positivity and encouragement to those around her.
Adding to the sense of occasion, Enda Scully took on the role of Run Director for the very first time. With calm efficiency and a smile, Enda ensured the morning ran smoothly from start to finish. The team and participants alike were full of praise for his great leadership and good humour — a fantastic debut in the blue hi-vis!
Mountlucas parkrun takes place at Bord na Móna Mountlucas windfarm every Saturday morning at 9.30am sharp. There's something for everyone at Mountlucas parkrun whether you want to walk, run, volunteer or just meet new people. For more information see http://parkrun.ie/mountlucas
