Offaly on the lookout for a new football manager

Stephen Wallace.

Offaly GAA last night issued a statement indicating that it had removed Stephen Wallace as senior football manager.

In a statement on its website, Offaly GAA said: "Following a meeting of Coiste Bainisti Uibh Fhaili on Wednesday, 16th May 2018, the decision was made that Stephen Wallace should not continue as Manager of the Offaly Senior Football Team. An Interim Management Team will be appointed as soon as possible."

This morning in an interview with Newstalk's Off The Ball, Wallace expressed disappointment with the move and said he had the support of the players.
