Report makes no changes to Offaly council

There will be no changes in the structure of local government in Offaly for the next local elections.

The Local Electoral Area Boundary Committee's report, published on Tuesday night, has made no changes to the current configuration of the three local electoral areas in Offaly.

The report recommended that Birr, Edenderry and Tullamore electoral areas remain, without any geographical changes.

And they will retain the same number of public representatives, with six county councillors representing each of Birr and Edenderry and seven for the Tullamore electoral area.
