An Offaly native is among the Center Parcs senior management team named this week ahead of the opening of the holiday resort close to Ballymahon later this summer.
Céline Bowyer from Edenderry has been appointed Leisure Services Manager in Longford Forest, the €233 million holiday village currently under construction in Newcastle Wood.
She joins Olwyn Hughes, Service Delivery Manager from Roscommon and Jonathan Latimer, Finance Manager from Cavan, Mike Ahern, Accommodation Services Manager, and Lorraine Danaher, the HR Manager from Ballymahon.
Meanwhile, Athlone's Dave McCourt has been named Technical Services Manager alongside Gavin Reilly, Food and Beverage and Retail Manager, who has moved to Longford from Whinfell Forest in the UK. The General Manager is Daragh Feighery from Kildare.
Center Parcs will now begin their main recruitment drive as they intend to take on approximately 1,000 members of staff before the forest resort opens this summer. To support this recruitment campaign, Center Parcs are holding a number of Housekeeping Roadshows, the next events will be taking place on Wednesday, February 6 in Hannons Hotel, Athlone Road, Roscommon from 10am – 12pm with Center Parcs presentation from 10.30am and in St Mary’s Hall, Lanesboro, Longford from 1pm – 3pm with Center Parcs presentation from 1.30pm.
Over 800 construction personnel are currently working on-site to build the €233 million holiday resort, which will be set in several hundred acres of woodland in Newcastle Wood, featuring over 400 high quality lodges specially designed with families in mind, accommodating up to 2,500 guests in a safe, peaceful and car-free environment.
It will also feature Ireland's largest indoor waterpark, and provide over 100 activities for all the family to enjoy in the resort, including a man-made lake with watersports, and a range of restaurants and shops.
