Funeral details announced for Shannonbridge accident victim

Funeral details for the late Johnny Nally, who died following an accident on the Isle of Man on June 9 have been announced.

Mr Nally's remains will repose at his home 8 Rachra Park in Shannonbridge on Saturday, June 22nd from noon until 8pm.

His removal takes place on Sunday morning, June 23rd to St Kieran's Church, Shannonbridge for Requiem Mass at noon. Interment afterwards in Clonmacnois. House private on Sunday morning, please.

Originally from Clonbonny, Athlone, but living in Shannonbridge in Offaly for the last 17 years, Mr Nally tragically lost his life following a collision on the Isle of Man earlier this month.

Warm tributes were paid to motorbike enthusiast Johnny Nally as a man who “always had a smile on his face”.

A GoFundMe page set up to bring Johnny Nally home is now closed having raised over €33,000 in just a few days, more than surpassing the original €20,000 goal.

He is sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving partner Kathleen, sons Paul and Keith, Natasha and Stacey, brother Peter, sister Angela, grandchildren Brian, Kate, Nicole, Alex, Ryan, Sam, Josh and Zac, sister-in-law Angela, brother-in-law Pat, daughters-in-law Cathy and Anne, extended family and many friends.
