Ray D’Arcy Show broadcasts from Banagher Marina

The Ray D'Arcy Show broadcast live from Banagher Marina last week as part of Fáilte Ireland’s ‘Yours to Uncover’ marketing campaign for the Ireland's Hidden Heartlands Region.

Ray was joined on a Silverline Cruisers boat, from which the show was broadcast, by Mundy, who fittingly given the month performed his anthemic song 'July'.

Ray also interviewed Henry Horan, eighth cousin of former US president Barack Obama and spoke to locals about Banagher and its potential.

Earlier in the day, Ray and his production team were brought on a SUP (Stand Up Paddle Boards) Safari on the Shannon in Banagher by Jonathan O'Meara of Mid Ireland Adventure, and he later spoke to Jonathan on the show.

The show  also took in locations in Killaloe, Longford, Leitrim and Cavan this week as it made its way up the River Shannon.

This promotion is part of Fáilte Ireland’s wider marketing campaign for Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands which commenced last month, highlighting the region as the perfect place to take a short break.

The multi-media brand awareness campaign worth €550,000 is currently running on TV, outdoor, radio and digital channels, showcasing how Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands is ‘Yours to Uncover’.
