The cast of 'All About Me'

St Mary's Youth Centre presents "Beauty and the Beast" and "All About Me"

St Mary’s Youth and Community Centre in Tullamore will stage Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” on May 1, 2 and 3 next. The production will mark the seventh for primary school children at the centre. The first half of the evening’s entertainment will feature younger children in a production called “All About Me” while the second half will be taken up with the well known and much loved “Beauty and the Beast”.

Marie White takes on the huge responsibility of directing the upcoming show, ably assisted by Sr Genny. Jo Jo Lynam is looking after costumes and set is by Simon Farrell with art work by Mark Doyle.

Ciaran Gilligan is in charge of all things musical. Mary Hoctor, Alan Hoare and Kay Guinan continue to assist with the production while Lucie LeGoaziou is working with those members of cast who need to practice their French accent. Michelle White is working on choreography.

As a result of the success of previous junior productions such as “Jungle Book Kids”, “Aladdin”, “Alice in Wonderland” and last year’s production of “Mulan”, the interest was such that there are 133 children taking to the stage this year.

The show commences at 7.45pm sharp with doors open at 7.15pm. Tickets are available from the Youth Centre with adults €8 and students and senior citizens €5. Special group rates for ten or more can be arranged for the Wednesday night.

This is the first year that bookings have been taken for the junior show due to the fact that the last two shows were completely booked out. To avoid disappointment at the door please make sure to book your tickets early. For further details please contact the centre on 057 9322963 or email stmarysyc@eircom.net.
