Story by Tom Kelly

Friday, 30th October, 2009 9:00am

Cheeky Monkeys, a new parent and toddler group in Killeigh, kicked off in style on Wednesday, October 21, with a Halloween fancy dress party.

Cheeky Monkeys will run every Wednesday (except for school holidays) from 10.30am until 12.30pm in KilleightOld School House for all mums, dads, grandparents and childminders of newborn babies to five year old pre-school children.

The group is run by a small group of local volunteer parents and costs €3 per family per session.

There will be structured playtime such as messy play, story telling, sing songs and music, with organised weekly activities such as water play, arts and crafts, play dough, sand and painting. Children and parents can participate or enjoy the provided toys, puzzles and books. Occasional outings and themed parties will also be catered for during the year.

The next meeting will be on Wednesday, November 4.
