Offaly Daffodil Day raises almost €26,000

Elaine Gillespie from the Irish Cancer Society with Mary Cunningham, Fidelma Gallagher and chair of the local Daffodil Day committee Yvonne Carty.

A total of just under €26,000 was raised for the most recent Daffodil Day in Tullamore and the surrounding areas. A cheque presentation for a total of €25,683 took place recently in the Tullamore Court Hotel, with local fundraising volunteers handing over the impressive amount to the Irish Cancer Society.

Volunteers who give so generously of their time along with supporters of the cause were thanked for making the donation possible. The funds raised will be used by the Irish Cancer Society to provide support services.
