CU Factor comes to Edenderry

Twelve to 25 year olds in the Edenderry area are being invited to share their talents as part of a new competition in the area organised by the Credit Union. CU Factor was first organised last year in Naas, which is in the same credit union chapter as Edenderry. This year the talent competition will run two Edenderry heats in early April.

Speaking to the Offaly Independent Edenderry Credit Union’s Carol Flynn said heats will be run in St Mary’s school in Edenderry on April 2 and 3, with heat winners going on to a local final on April 4.

Already Ms Flynn said 28 applications have been received for the Edenderry heats, but she added that any additional applications over the next week or so will also be accommodated.

Entrants can display any talent at all, she said, though it’s expected each entrant should spend only three minutes on stage. Six winners from Edenderry will go on to a semi-final in Moate on May 24 and 25, while the overall final will take place on May 26.

Younger entrants wishing to take part in the competition are welcome to enter heats in Naas. Locals looking for more information or applications forms can contact Edenderry Credit Union in person, email competition@ecu.ie or visit the organisation’s Facebook page.
