Hooneymooners issue appeal over missing camera
An Offaly woman is appealing for help to find her missing camera - because all her honeymoon photos are still on it. Paula Kenny (nee Harrington) who works in Tullamore, and her new husband Neil got married on September 4, and then went on honeymoon to Las Vegas and Mexico. It was a once in a lifetime trip and they bought the black Hitachi digital camera only days before the special holiday so that they could have memories of the holiday forever. However, misfortune struck when Paula lost the camera while out celebrating Halloween at a fancy dress party in Birr last Saturday night (October 30). All their treasured honeymoon photos were still on the memory card, as they hadn’t had time to upload or print out the pictures. Paula said she was in the Chestnut bar and later Melba’s nightclub and somewhere along the way she misplaced the camera. She said that both spots were very busy and that people from all over the area were there. “We’ve kind of given up hope now, I’ve rang the pubs and I’ve put it on Facebook, I’ve rang the gardaí and I’ve put a notice up on the lost and found websites,” she said. “We’d be happy to get the memory card back, we don’t care about the camera... Maybe if someone was willing to drop the memory card back to the Chestnut or to Birr garda station, I’d be so happy.” Paula again stressed that she would be very grateful if the memory card was found that it could be returned to the happy couple.
