Offaly Sports Partnership has arranged a workshop regarding the sports capital programme announced by Sports Minister Michael Ring for the Bridge House Hotel this week. The workshop, which will include a presentation for interested parties on the new guidelines, criteria and application form, will take place on Wednesday, April 4 at 8.30pm in the Millennium Room of the Bridge House Hotel in Tullamore.
The sports capital programme announced last week, which has been suspended for the past four years, will see €30m made available this year from the National Lottery. Offaly Sports Partnership has encouraged eligible clubs and groups to apply for funding this year, as they understand there will be no further calls under the programme until 2015. The organisation has also warned that those who have drawn down funding under the programme in the past should not assume that the same rules and processes apply, as there are significant changes in the programme's guidelines and criteria.
